Herban Feast provides off-site catering at venues throughout the Puget Sound region and on-site catering at our distinctive event venue, Sodo Park. You can also find us at our farm-fresh, full-service restaurant, Fresh Bistro in West Seattle.
Charitable Donations
Herban Feast is dedicated to being a steward of its community through a variety of charitable offerings and best practices. Our focused approached to donations has resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars and hours to benefit local schools, the community where we began – West Seattle, and sustainable companies, organizations and farms.
In order to accommodate the numerous requests we receive for reduced or no‐cost catering and use of our Sodo Park event space, we’ve developed the following overview to help you be successful in your donation request.
Guidelines
- Herban Feast donates one catered event per calendar year at its Sodo Park event venue, including venue and catering not to exceed $5,000.
- Herban Feast will donate the use of its event venue, Sodo Park, for one event per calendar year. Value not to exceed $2,300. Please note catering service fees are not included in this donation.
- Herban Feast will donate a catering service or cooking class at an off‐site venue to one event per month, per calendar year. Value not to exceed $500.
- Herban Feast also offers a seasonal non‐profit rate, which is 20% lower than the market rate.
- Donations will be on a first come, first serve basis. We recommend donation requests be made six months in advance of the requested donation date. Once we reach our maximum donations for the calendar year, your request will be denied and you will be encouraged to consider the following calendar year.
- Recipients must be a 501 3.C, demonstrating certified non‐profit status.
How to Make a Request
- Plan ahead. The best way to guarantee that we can accommodate your request is to complete the request form a minimum of six‐ months in advance of your event.
- Complete the Charitable Request Form and return it to Herban Feast at marketfresh@herbanfeast.com. Missing information will delay your request and may result in request denial.
- Be patient, we’ll respond to your request within one week of receiving your request.
Detailed Description of Herban Feast Charitable Donations
Herban Feast Catered Event at our Sodo Park Event Venue: For Your Special Event, Herban Feast provides full-service catering and an event venue. Herban Feast will customize the venue and menus to meet your needs - from creativity to service. Our services include set-up, breakdown and clean-up. Events are fully staffed with experienced servers, bartenders, on-site chefs, and a company-wide commitment to delight every guest.
Sodo Park Event Venue: An Event Destination by Herban Feast. Sodo Park features exposed beams, high ceilings, and an urban loft design. Inclusive of Herban Feast’s renowned catering services, the historic Sodo Park event venue is a desired location for any type of event.
Herban Feast Catered Event or a Private Herban Feast Cooking Class: Herban Feast is known for delivering exceptional northwest cuisine. Creating unique culinary experiences and innovative menus featuring locally-sourced and market fresh ingredients, you can choose from a menu that complements theme and culinary desires or customize a menu tailored to your event OR have Herban Feast host a private cooking demo for friends, colleagues, peers or family.
In Return for Donations, We Expect:
- If you are requesting a catering or class donation from Herban Feast for event, we kindly request that we are considered to cater this or a future event.
- The Herban Feast logo should be included on all printed promotional materials.
- Herban Feast should be included in all mentions during broadcast and radio promotional activities
