This annual fundraiser gave everyone something to smile about. The venue effortlessly transitioned from a silent auction and reception to a live auction and seated dinner. Guests enjoyed an inspiring and heartfelt program, and the whole event was a roaring success for the organization.
The cocktail hour and silent auction featured tray-passed sweet potato and Dungeness crab cakes, Indian-spiced cauliflower, a chickpea fritter with cilantro chutney, and a seared pork loin crostini. Plated dinner service began with a salad of baby artichoke with a goat-cheese croquette. Then, a fun, seasonal intermezzo of strawberry basil sorbet followed. The main course featured herb-rubbed wild salmon, thyme-crusted beef tenderloin or beluga lentil-stuffed tomato. As a sweet touch, guests went home with a warm cookie.
