Give us a quick “day in the life”:

In this industry every day is different, which makes it fun! We are constantly looking for inspiration so I could be in the office coming up with new design ideas to create the perfect personalized experience for our clients. My favorite part of the day is in production. It’s amazing to see an events vision take shape and come to life in this romantic fairy tale sort of fashion.

How did you begin your career in event design?

It was kind of an accident. I was a Recreation & Tourism major in college and had a background in Food & Beverage. I hadn’t found my niche yet and here was this career opportunity that wrapped all of my passions into one position.  I was enthralled in learning everything I could about event and floral design. It is pretty special to be given the opportunity to bring someone’s dream to life.

What do you love about working at the Herban Design Studio?

I love being able to create something original and exciting and memorable. I love weddings because every bride and groom has their own story and we get to create a true experience for their guests based on all the things that are special to them as a couple.

What are your favorite event design trends for 2014?

My favorite themes right now are actually new twists on old favorites. I will always love the vintage look. There is something incredibly romantic about adding old world charm to today’s modern lifestyle.

Thanks Chelsea, for being an amazing part of our team!
