Vendor Spotlight: Sasha Reiko Photography

Vendor Spotlight: Sasha Reiko Photography

Here at Herban Feast, we have had the opportunity to work alongside many talented photographers over the years, but when we think of someone who really stands out, Sasha Reiko comes to mind. Her talent and passion for her work is evident in every moment she captures for her clients. Sasha says, “Every person I work with is a constant reminder that everyone has a different story. An important story that needs to be told in a way that connects to them individually. There’s no one size fits all and I will go out of my way to make sure you feel that during our time together. I’m deeply committed and passionate about what I do and I hope to share that with you!”

Sasha started out as a nature and travel photographer. She has had the opportunity to travel to 40 different countries and has experienced a varied array of cultures. She feels like traveling gives her new perspectives and a constant source of inspiration for her work. So although she is Seattle-based, she has an extreme love for travel, and would happily follow you to your destination for your special day!

Sasha’s work has been described as “authentic, natural, and timeless”.  She believes, “Everything begins with a connection. I like to think I’m in the business of making friends.  My hope is that laughter will guide our time together and that we’ll feel like old friends by the end.  Connecting with your photographer directly contributes to the end result and will create an experience, not just a ‘photo shoot’.” As far as her photos go, she likes to keep her editing style clean, vibrant, and true to how it really felt.  She loves color and making photos feel rich and full of life. “I’m not just a ‘photographer’” she says, “I’m an artist, a friend, and a person who cares deeply. I will literally be pouring my heart into whatever we’re working on together by creating a visual story for you to enjoy and appreciate for years to come.”

Some advice she would like to give to couples is to “Do an engagement session!  It’s the perfect opportunity to get to know your photographer and get used to the camera before the big day.  You’ll also end up with some awesome images of the two of you and will feel totally at ease on your wedding day when the photographer arrives.”  For Sasha, building a relationship before the big day is very important, so she “can truly capture them in a way that feels authentic to who they are and tells their story in a way that is meaningful to THEM.””

Although she also shoots business, lifestyle, and travel photography, Sasha’s favorite events to capture on camera are weddings. In addition to wedding services, she offers: engagement sessions, boudoir sessions, rehearsal dinner coverage, and a second photographer, as well as fine art wedding albums and prints. Sasha’s services are fully customizable, so If you are unsure how much coverage you will need for your big day, sit down with Sasha, walk through your timeline and details, and she will happily help you create a unique package that works best for whatever suits your needs.

Clients Alexis and Johnny wrote: “There really aren’t words for how beautifully she can encapsulate the most important moments in your life. The main and most influential component that contributed to our ceremonial success was Sasha. She is a consummate professional. She acted as a coordinator, a friend, and an artist. She loves what she does, and it shows.”

We think Sasha is pretty amazing, and think you will too.
